Information and Resources for Minor Students

In addition to the general information provided to all students, below is information specific to minors.

I want to start classes to complete the minor. What do I do next?

After reviewing the information on the website, you should ask any additional questions to for digital forensic questions or for cyber security questions. Once all answers have been provided, you should fill out an Interest form.

I have filled out the Interest form. Now what?

Once you fill out the Interest form, it will be reviewed by the advisor and you should register for CSF 102, the first course for either minor. You should then make a plan using one of the following worksheets:

Who is my advisor?

The general advisor for both minors is Beth Very ( Mrs. Very assists students with completing the minor declaration form and general questions about the program. The faculty supervisor of the Digital Forensics minor is Dr. Victor Fay-Wolfe. The faculty supervisor for the Cyber Security minor is Dr. Lisa DiPippo.

Do I need to meet with my advisor?

In addition to meeting with your regular major advisor, you should contact Mrs. Very once every semester to discuss your progress and future plans.

What must I do when I am ready to graduate and have completed the minor?

Complete the Minor Field of Study form that must be submitted with the Intent to Graduate Form prior to graduation. Send the completed form to to have it signed and returned to you for inclusion with your graduation packet.
